Technology Learning Center

 

   The technology learning center (TLC) was built with a generous grant from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.  Its purpose is to allow the library staff to teach technological skills to our patrons in an environment that fosters in-depth learning and teaching.  The lab was built to help our patrons acquire technological skills that are essential to being literate in our society.  These skills open and improve the library would and the world outside too.
We have classes on very broad subjects to more advanced, specialized ones.  The computer classes are taught by James Miller, one of our librarians and an instructor of computer science at Simmons College.  We also offer business and business software classes, courtesy of Jennifer Keohane, business librarian, and Diana Lemcoff, computer instructor at Manchester Community College.
