The mission of the Friends of the Simsbury Public Library remains constant. It is to improve, enhance and provide for services and programs deemed needed, wanted or necessary above and beyond our Town’s annual obligatory allocation. Membership in the Friends, at any and all levels, automatically makes the joiner a part of “the next chapter” in keeping our public library state of the art. But there is a way you can become an even more important agent of change in underwriting the next chapter.

The Need for Support Today & Tomorrow

For the Simsbury Library to maintain its leadership role in this age of ever changing technology, it became apparent to the Friends that a new initiative was needed to enhance our foundation, to prepare for the unexpected, and to seed future projects. Where does one turn to first in time of need?

Investor Angels

The Friends established a level of annual membership called the Investor Angel category. This special membership level of $1,000+ plays a necessary and highly valued role in the continued success of the Simsbury Public Library.

Over the past few years, the Investor Angels have made possible the equipment in the growing Innovators’ Workshop room, purchase of computers and other contributions that enhance our library.

Your annual gift as an Investor Angel, especially at a time when competition for town budget money is so fierce, is crucial. Our library has emerged as a cornerstone of the Simsbury community, serving the widest range of citizens. It has become indispensable in countless ways and in demand, more than ever, by all in our community – by toddlers, working and stay-at-home parents, teenagers, small businesses and innovators, the employment-seeking, seniors, lifetime learners and traditional readers.
